Mission Adventures in Winnipeg
Winnipeg, MB is often referred to as the “Chicago of the North”. Lying at North America’s geographical centre, it has great advantages in trade, travel and other business. It is Canada’s largest distribution centre between Vancouver and Toronto. Despite is reputation for cold winters, Winnipeg experiences bright, hot summer weather, with over 2300 hours of sunshine per year, more than any other Canadian city.
Winnipeg is home to the largest First Nations (Native) population of any other Canadian city. It is also Canada’s largest francophone community outside Quebec. The ethnic diversity makes for a city rich with culture and the arts, considered by many to be Canada’s arts capital.
The Winnipeg outreach offers diverse experiences in ministry. In addition to the challenges of urban outreach, it offers many opportunities to reach out and serve people from many cultures and nationalities, helping us to better understand and relevantly connect to their lives and cultures.
Often seen as the “hub” of Canada and North America, Winnipeg provides an opportunity to strategically serve God to reach this continent. Come and be a part of what God is doing in this city and nation!
