My friend and coworker, Sheril Brasher has a neato blog up called Sheril’s Mexican Adventure. (Bookmark it!). Recently she posted the testimony of a fourteen-year-old Mission Adventures student named Catherine Hsu. Here’s the money-quote:
Somehow, by us caring for others, God was able to show me how much he cared for me. No matter how lost and alone and worthless I felt that year, God showed me that he has a greater plan and purpose for me… It was at the Ensenada mission trip that I truly surrendered my heart to God for the first time. It was at the Ensenada mission trip that I was able to give up control of my broken life and decide how to live it for God’s will.
There really is so much more to Catherine’s testimony—I encourage you to click through for the rest of the story. You’ll gain insight into the mindset of students and you’ll see how God used Mission Adventures to help shape her life.
