Question Marks, Stars, Cows and Dogs

Bokeh Background Courtesy MerekDavis.comSome really smart folks from Boston created this nifty way for businesses to analyze their products. It’s really helpful for leaders to be able to figure out where to best use their resources so that the business can thrive. Basically what they do, is plot their products on a graph of potential growth and fruitfulness.

That might sound really “businessy”, but we’ve taken the time to create this document that translates all the business stuff into the language of Mission Adventures. There’s even an awesome illustration/example from Apple that I know will make it crystal clear. Click below to download the PDF and come prepared to discuss this at our I-MALT meetings in Rio!

The Cure for Stagnant Growth

Has the initial success of your Mission Adventures ministry faded? Did you see some initial growth, but now things have slowed down? Are you still doing a great job, but the teams aren’t coming? Well, you might be experiencing something called, “The ‘S’ Curve”. Don’t worry, it’s normal, and it doesn’t have to be fatal.

All you’ve got to do is read this handy guide:

Where Are the New Mission Adventures Leaders?

Image Courtesy “hisks” via sxc.huWhen I look at the world map on my wall, I can see a lot of YWAM centers where Mission Adventures used to be—and sadly, there are a lot of those places. In almost all of the caes those bases wanted to continue the ministry, but their MA leader moved on and they didn’t have anyone else to fill the gap. Let’s face it. It’s hard to find leaders. And I think that’s part of the problem—we’re expecting to find leaders, while God is expecting us to make leaders. So the title of this post is a bit misleading. The question is not, “Where are the new Mission Adventures leaders?” It’s, “How can I create more Mission Adventures leaders?”

Stop looking for more Mission Adventures leaders in your region. Instead start making them.

At our upcoming I-MALT meetings, we’re going to address this issue and begin to develop a way where we can make more leaders. If you’d like a sneak peak, check out this little workbook we’ll be using:

Monopoly and Making Disciples
(300 KB PDF)

I honestly believe that this has the potential to revolutionize our Network. But in order to do so, we are all going to have to see our selves as disciple-makers. Are you ready to make this change?

If you’re really inspired, here’s another great resource from Darden University:

See you in Rio!

Regional Report from Europe

Anders Myklebust has put together a report for the European region for 2011. Anders actually sent this info to me back in September, and sadly it got lost in my inbox/to do list. But thankfully, I’m getting to it now! The encouraging thing about this report is that there were hundreds of kids that participated in MA in Europe last year. Read on for the full report!

McDonald's, Mission Adventures, & the Release of the Apostolic

What business is McDonald’s® in? When I ask that question, most people’s answers have something to do with cheeseburgers and french fries. It’s apparent to everyone that McDonald’s® restaurants exist to sell American style fast food.
