Come and serve alongside the Indigenous people of Australia to see communities in North Queensland impacted for Christ. Just off the coast of Townsville is an island community called Palm Island, or Bukaman by its Aboriginal name. Many who visit Palm Island would say it is a tropical paradise, but history says otherwise. During the time of colonization Palm Island was a relocation community created for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people to be taken if misbehaved. This had an effect on the people of Palm Island and now there is a huge need to help. Now is the right time! God is opening doors for groups to come minister and share Christ’s love to the children, youth, and families living on Palm Island. So, hop onto one of Townsville’s ferries and take the hour boat ride to go and reach out to the people on Palm Island.
Date: During the months of June, July, September, and October
