Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN
YWAM Minneapolis |
Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 9:27AM The Minneapolis/St. Paul area (known as the Twin Cities) is a place rich in diversity. There are over 700,000 internationals who speak more than 200 different languages. The Minneapolis/St. Paul area boasts the largest Hmong, Somali, and Oromo (Ethiopian) population in the U.S. It also has the second largest Tibetan and Liberian concentrations. Of all the internationals living here, 88% remain unreached.
We have a unique opportunity to reach the nations right here in our own backyard. Jesus has called us to be the “light of the world” and for the past 12 years, YWAM Minneapolis has been committed to turning up the light in the Twin Cities area.
Your group will have incredible opportunities to interact with people from many different backgrounds. Help tutor Latino children, teach English to Somali adults, and run a kids club for Tibetan youth. Engage with the forgotten by sharing conversations with the homeless, praying for the sick, and packaging food for the hungry.
The opportunities are plentiful but the workers are few. Come and be a part of what a few can do for God’s Kingdom!
