Panama is the link between Central and South America. Most widely known for the Panama Canal, this country has always been a crossroad of cultures. With a poplulation of more than 3.5 million people including Creoles, Mestizos (European & Native American), European immigrants, Africans, Chinese, and indigenous Indians, Panama has earned its nickname: “The Melting Pot.”
Aguadulce (translated ‘sweet water’) is a smaller city in the rural part of Panama. It’s located in the heart of the country – about a 3 hour drive from Panama City. Our teams partner with Pastor Jorge who oversees 7 churches in the Aguadulce area.
Ministry opportunities include evangelistic programs in public schools, universities, hospitals, and urban plazas. Groups will also facilitate children’s and youth programs and partake in various work projects. Take a river trip into an indigenous village and share the gospel message through dance, drama, and testimony.
For a fun activity, be sure to visit the Panama Canal!
